Tron is a whole 2 months old today. Technically, he's 9 weeks tomorrow BUT his two month birthday is today...so how ever that works.
This past weekend Jason's mom and stepdad visited with us. It was established and Kim will be "Grandma" and Brian will be "Goompa" which I like a lot. Attached are some pictures from our visit!
In one week, I start back at Life Time Fitness teaching classes and possibly training so Saturday and Sunday I attended classes to wake my muscles back to moving that way again. In STRIKE! on Sunday, the instructor started a combo that was similar to one I have so for a second I kept going with my combo instead of paying attention to what she had coming for us. Talk about muscle memory!
I felt good in class. Physically, my muscles feel strong. I'm extra tuned in to the abdomen area since being cut open. The bigger issue for me is the extra weight which I know will come off but it makes me slow. After being "off" for 4 months, to say I miss exercise is an understatement. I'm excited to be back. Exercise makes me happy, feel a little less crazy inside, and gives me a high I need to function. It's my drug!
Talon is (pretty much) officially sleeping in his crib as of three nights ago. He wheezes loud until he reaches a deep sleep which sounds worse than it is but he will keep us from sleeping if he's in our room. From what I understand, "baby breathing" can last up until about 6 months old.One problem is the kid busts out of the Swaddler wrap so his arms flail then he freaks himself out and screams. He's been sleeping in a Rock and Play Sleeper Bassinet which has been awesome especially when he was super itty bitty and sleeping most of the day. We'd just push him in it around the house to wherever we were.
Can you believe we're not done with the room yet? Well, maybe you can...:) His dresser is painted, we bought an IKEA bouncy chair (instead of a rocker), and the walls are about trimmed up. I taped off some more details this afternoon so my plan is to have it done this week. We'll drag in the dresser from the garage, put Talon's books and toys on it and hopefully get a room arranged that makes a little more sense. Right now, stuff is just kind of stacked around his changing table and crib.
Look like CU played OSU this past weekend. Talon was ready for the big game!
Overall, Talon is a super easy baby. Chill, pretty relaxed if all his needs are met. I feel lucky and just stare at him in amazement. I feel like it's Christmas every morning. Later Taters!
