blue fingernails

You love my sparkly blue fingernails. You stare at them and try to put them in your mouth. You found your thumb a few weeks ago though you aren't sucking it too often. Pacifiers are unacceptable as well as teething rings. Bottle nipples and human fingers are the only thing you'll use to soothe yourself. Daddy's fingers are pruny. I'm hoping you sit up by yourself by Christmas. Croup still got your lungs but it is loosening up by the day. I keep hoping the tighter and closer I hold you to me, the more protective-from-germies-energy I'll give you.
