streamers, swords, and protein powder

Talon,
I'm pretty excited about planning your birthday party. I've already called my friends to book a neighorhood pool clubhouse. I can't believe you are already 9 months old. No joke when people say cherish the time when you were itty bitty. Yes, those times went by fast. Now you are crawling from room to room with fervor, taking small steps from one end of the couch to the other, eating entire jars of baby food while still refusing yogurt.

Dads is busy starting Amazing Times, LLC: The Camps Where Kids Make History. It is our hope you'll be a part of those someday. There isn't much down time these days but I'm grateful for him. He's working so hard, SO hard, to provide for his family.

I am seeing Bonnie this weekend. I haven't seen her since a month before you were born. I think about what she'll say when she sees your picture. You, my boy, are gorgeous and beyond words.

My fitness is evolving and I'm contemplating opening up to another part of the industry; physique contests. When I used to think about doing a show, I'd think how fit and ripped I'd get. That motivation was always short lived. Since having you, I've been searching for a focus. I spent two years trying to get pregnant and now that I have you, I don't know what to do with myself. An intrinsic motivation has presented itself and when I think of doing a show now, I think of how it'd feel to be up on stage and be so proud of myself. My would-be trainer and dear friend, Stacey Barta, is already a pro. Under her guidance, I know I could be successful. I need to make the committment. I need to get an idea, financially, what the investment involved. My biggest fear is wasting time. I don't want to waste Stacey's time because I was a slacker. I don't want to disappoint anyone. Then again, I won't disappoint anyone if I commit. It's up to me, right? I need a focus. Could this be it? 3 months of hard strength training and cardio. 3 more months of strict eating. Can we all handle that?! :)
