2010

2010 has been quite a year. To quote my Facebook status, "I had a pretty eventful 2010. A little insane, a ton of good, bad parts I still wouldn't trade, experiences from which I grew, a lot of dancing, throwing around heavy shit, and many memorable conversations with dear friends."

January10 started out with me working full-time as a personal trainer at Life Time Fitness; a job I truly love. I get to work with great people, take advantage of many educational and social opportunities, and do my own thing all at the same time. Still worried about getting pregnant. It was officially one year of trying.

June10 greeted me with a trip to VA to be with my dear friend, Rachel, who got married. Also the month of the IUI. With 5 eggs ready, I was sure I was pregnant with that. As we all know, it was unsuccessful. Perhaps better that I didn't end up with 5 babies on that stunt. June brought the start of a summer of many nights out with friends and dancing.

July10 was my brother-in-law's wedding and possible the worst boat ride I have ever been on. Never ever again. July was me bottoming out.

August10 was August. An amazing friend had let me train him for a powerlifting meet this month. My mom and stepdad came to visit.

September10 brought my Dad and stepmom, a train ride down south, and more dancing and nights out. :)

October10 brought our wedding anniversary. Reiki energy work. And Janice. And Sonja. And several other people that pretty much saved my life that month. AB, AM, BB, LD...in random order :)

November10 brought a (this is for you, Betsy) BFP! We'd waited so long. It was the last Friday night I went dancing of 2010. My GH used a lot of baby wipes. HA!

December10 sprung an amazing, magnificent party thrown by friends at the club. December also allowed me to travel across the country to visit my family for the holidays. I returned with strep throat. I am not happy I had to go on an antibiotic being pregnant. I have been good about decreasing the amount of chemicals in my body compared to before! Less diet soda, less caffeine, but I couldn't get around this one. Ugh, strep throat is just so horrific. I got it a LOT as a kid. My mom said they didn't want to remove my tonsils because surgery is always so rough. They wanted to avoid it. My pain threshold has considerably increased since then but how did I bear the pain!? Guess it'll be cake next to childbirth, eh? :)

December 31st, 2010. I am resting today, about to take a warm bath. I have a cat in my shirt. I'm not kidding. Vader crawled inside my shirt where he is snoozing. I made some munchies to hang out with friends tonight. What an amazing life I have.
